The China studies section a the University of Oslo is looking for a scholar who is interested in taking up a one-year associate professor position in “Chinese society and politics” starting from January 2013. The candidate must have completed a Phd in a field relevant to the study of “Chinese society and politics”, and must be able to teach in English
and use Chinese language resources in course work at the master level.
The candidate will to a large extent be able to design the courses taught. Teaching amounts to approximately 4-5 hours a week, in addition to supervision, examination work, weekly staff meetings, etc. Interested candidates for the one-year position are welcome to send a brief letter of introduction with a CV to Mette Halskov Hansen (m.h.hansen@ikos.uio.no) before November 10th.
