The board of the European Association for Asian Art and Archaeology is pleased to announce the establishment of EUROPEAN ASSOCIATION FOR ASIAN ART AND ARCHAEOLOGY (EAAA).
The association shall:
– encourage and advance all academic and scholarly activities related to Asian Art and archaeology in all countries of Europe;
– strive for creating and maintaining a platform for a fruitful exchange of ideas;
– open a dialogue between scholars of Asian art history;
– offer a platform for the presentation and discussion of recent research.
The purpose of the EAAA shall be achieved through the following activities:
– organization of regular biennial conferences;
– organization of seminars, thematic conferences, workshops, symposia, study events, lectures;
– different ways of support of young scholars;
– publication projects;
– exhibition projects;
– promote contacts and cooperation between scholars and students conducting research in and teaching Asian art and archaeology;
– facilitate cooperation with other organizations having similar aims;
– disseminate any kind of information and resources related to Asian art and archaeology.
