Vacant Position: W2- Professorship in “Society and Culture of Modern China”

The Leipzig University Faculty of History, Arts and Oriental Studies seeks to fill a W2- Professorship in “Society and Culture of Modern China” The holder of this position will be affiliated with the Institute of East Asian Studies. Responsibilities include research and teaching with regard to modern Chinese society and culture, as well as coordination of the Institute’s modern Chinese language programme. In addition to excellent competence in the Chinese language we expect several years of relevant experience in teaching and research.

The holder’s rights and obligations are defined by the Sächsisches Hochschulfreiheitsgesetz (SächsHSFG) and the Sächsische Dienstaufgabenverordnung (DAVOHS). Applicants need to meet the requirements of §58 SächsHSFG.
