The Institute for Area Studies at Leiden University will host the 2017 Conference on Middle Period China. Following the successful conference held at Harvard University in 2014, we hope to bring together 200-300 scholars with different levels of experience to share their ideas and research.
Like last time we aim to go beyond the usual speaker/audience format. Speakers will be asked to submit their papers and participants will be able to give feedback before the presentation, providing an environment for a more meaningful exchange.
