The Faculty of Cultural Sciences invites applications for a

Full Professorship (W3)
of Sinology
(Chair)

commencing on 1st April 2018.

Applicants should be able to offer a broad scope of research and teaching in the field of Sinology. The position is an essential element in the Munich Centre for Ancient Worlds and the University’s Graduate School “Distant Worlds”; therefore, a major focus on Chinese archaeology and/or early Chinese history is desired.

Prerequisites for this position are a university and a doctoral degree, teaching skills at university level, excellent academic achievements and a productive and promising research program.
