The Department of Asian and North African Studies at Ca’ Foscari University of Venice invites applications for the position of full-time researcher (tenure-track) in the history of pre-modern China.
The researcher is expected to have an expertise in the history of pre-modern China, based on solid knowledge of the political, socio-economic and cultural history of China and to be able to teach courses in the field of Chinese History with a focus on the pre-modern period. In particular, we welcome applications from historians of the medieval to early modern period. She/he is expected to conduct original historical research grounded in the use of primary sources and to have a solid research publications track record and have participated in international research projects and international conferences.
