Applications are invited for the above full-time, permanent post in the Modern Languages and Cultures section of the School of Languages, Literatures, and Linguistics.
The successful candidate will be an enthusiastic and inspiring lecturer, able to design, convene and teach undergraduate and postgraduate modules in Chinese Cultural Studies, including the English-Chinese translation component of our MA in Translation Studies. S/he will also have the ability to supervise postgraduate researchers in Chinese Cultural Studies and will contribute to the School’s ambition and international standing in terms of high-quality research.
Applicants must hold a PhD (or near completion of) in a relevant area of Chinese Cultural Studies and should possess excellent language skills in Mandarin and English. In addition, applicants should have a record of research excellence commensurate with their career stage.
