The Department of Asian and Middle Eastern Studies at the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill (http://asianstudies.unc.edu) invites applications for a tenure-track Assistant Professor position in Chinese studies to start July 1, 2023. Candidates should have completed Ph.D. in Chinese studies or related field and should possess native or near-native fluency in English and Mandarin. Duties include teaching undergraduate and graduate courses; conducting research on transcultural Chinese studies, Chinese thought/philosophy, or Chinese new materialist studies; and service work such as participating in the continued development of the Department’s program in Chinese studies.
