Confuci Acadèmic Journal – CAJ (ISSN 2696-1229) is a yearly, open-access, peer-reviewed journal edited by the Barcelona Confucius Institute Foundation (FICB) that publishes original research on Chinese language and culture.
Its disciplinary approach covers Chinese linguistics and Chinese teaching as a foreign language, embracing (but not limited to) approaches from theoretical and applied linguistics, sociolinguistics, education psychology, and information technologies applied to foreign language learning. It also provides a platform for the publication of research on the international promotion of Chinese language and culture, and research on Confucius Institutes.
Under the consideration that culture is an essential part of language learning, it is also open to research on Chinese literature, history, sociology, translation, intercultural communication, and other relevant areas, including comparative approaches as long as they include Sinophone contexts as the focus of their inquiry.
CAJ addresses researchers and teachers working with Chinese language and culture, as well as those with a special interest in the Chinese-speaking world. It accepts contributions in four languages: Catalan, Chinese, English, and Spanish.
CALL FOR PAPERS
CAJ is now calling for submissions of original papers for its first issue. It welcomes contributions from scholars, researchers, postgraduate students, and Chinese language teachers working on relevant aspects within the scope of the journal.
