The Oriental studies Department Institute of Linguistics RSUH in cooperation with Confucius Institute (RSUH) and the Association for the Advancement of Sinology in Russia 3 – 5 October, 2019 is holding the first international conference “Chinese Linguistics and Sinology”.
The conference is dedicated to the memory of the remarkable Soviet-Russian linguist of Tan Aoshuan (1931-2017).
Prominent Scholars will be making presentations at the conference include professors from Russia, East Asia and Europe.
We welcome papers on one or more of the following aspects:
1. Theoretical description of Chinese (grammar, semantics, rhetoric style, lexicology, idioms, dialects, corpus research)
2. The theoretical problems of Teaching Chinese: the relationship between the description of Chinese grammatical phenomena and the theory of practice, the professional courses of higher education ( classical Chinese, stylistics, lexicology, Chinese syntax, etc.), the theoretical problems of Chinese textbook writing, and the modernization of Chinese teaching information Technology
3. Research of Tan Aoshuang’s works
4. Translation Studies
5. Chinese literature
6. Chinese history
7. Chinese Art and Archaeology
8. Chinese philosophy and religion
You can apply for a speech or participate in a poster presentation. Application must include:
1 – Abstract in English (150-250 words)
2 – Keywords in English (4-8 words)
3 – Overview of the paper (max. 6000 English\Russian characters, including punctuation)
4 – References
IMPORTANT: Double blind review of paper selection, please do not include any information showing authorship in abstracts and papers.
Please send your application together with a short CV (max. 3 sentences in the letter), title, affiliation, and contact information (address, telephone number, e-mail) to the conference organizing committee: chineseling.conference@gmail.com by May 31, 2019.
Notifications of acceptance will be out by June 30, 2019.
Working language: Russian, English, and Chinese. Conference papers are only accepted in Russian and English.
The conference proceedings will be included in the Russian Science Citation Index. The linguistics section selected papers will be published in a special issue of the Journal of the Russian National Humanities University; the Journal of Moscow Linguistics (is in the list of Russian national core journals). Articles will be selected by the conference organizers and the journal editorial board.
The Association for the Advancement of Sinology in Russia will publish selected papers from other sections in annual Journal.

The Association for the Advancement of Sinology in Russia also invite all participants to take part in the regular meetings for Chinese language teachers “Open dialog” (one-day open discussions for practitioners, master-classes and new publications introductions) that will be held on the 6th of October and will be free of charge for the conference participants.
