Call for Papers for the “New Voices in the Study of Chinese Religions” SSCR session at the EACS biennial conference

The Society for the Study of Chinese Religions (SSCR) is seeking speakers for its upcoming “New Voices in the Study of Chinese Religions” event at the 2026 European Association for Chinese Studies Biennial Conference, taking place on July 22 (19:00–20:45) at the conference venue in Venice, Italy.
This “New Voices” event will feature 10-minute talks by three junior scholars, followed by a Q&A discussion and a reception. The talks can be on any aspect of Chinese religions and should be delivered in English. Participation in this session will be in-person only. Junior scholars eligible to apply are PhD candidates, postdoctoral fellows, and scholars not more than five years away from receiving their doctoral degree. Presenters will need to be members of the SSCR by the time of the conference (to join the SSCR, please visit https://chinesereligions.org/contact).
