The Department of Asian Studies welcomes contributions that engage with the conference theme from a variety of theoretical, methodological, and interdisciplinary perspectives, with a focus on the languages, cultures, societies, and histories of Asia and their diasporic manifestations.
The conference invites original research in anthropology, history, international relations, linguistics, literature, philosophy, political science, sociology, visual arts, and related fields in the humanities and social sciences.
We invite proposals in the following formats:
• individual papers
• organized panels
• research posters
• alternative formats (films, performances, artworks, poetry, etc.)
• student papers
The working language of the conference is English.
