The 21st biennial conference of the European Association for Chinese Studies will be held in St.
Petersburg, Russia on August 23-28, 2016. It is jointly organized by St. Petersburg State University, the Institute of Oriental Manuscripts RAS and the State Hermitage Museum.

The scholars from Europe and beyond are invited to submit their paper and panel proposals
online at the conference webpage www.eacs2016.spbu.ru The abstract should not exceed 300 words,
with an additional list of 5-8 key-words. An international board of referees will evaluate the
proposals submitted to the organizers. The language of the conference is English.

October 1, 2015 – January 15, 2016: Submission of proposals
January 15, 2016 – February 29, 2016: Evaluation and selection of proposals
March 15, 2016: Notification of acceptance
March 15, 2016 – June 1, 2016: Online-registration
